Bio

Isaac Jaimes is an American fine art photographer based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Rooted in traditional analog and historic processes, Jaimes creates a deeply personal and tactile sensibility with his imagery. His method is defined by deliberate, slow engagement with the camera, converting raw internal experience into vulnerable visual narratives.

Jaimes's practice serves as a conduit for emotional processing and self-examination. His work boldly explores the realms of psychological trauma, identity, and personal history, embarking on an unending odyssey from self-examination to external contemplation.

Jaimes’s work has been widely exhibited across the Intermountain West and neighboring regions, including an exhibition at Gallery 404 in Orem, Utah, and juried shows at the Lakemont Museum of Art, the Houston Center for Photography in Houston, Texas, and the Global Village Museum of Arts and Cultures in Fort Collins, Colorado—which recently acquired four of his works into its permanent collection. His achievements include winning the 2023 UVU Student Art Show Photography Award as well as work published in Composing Chaos, a fine art book distributed globally. Jaimes is currently pursuing a BFA of Art and Design with a specialization in photography at Utah Valley University.
